Having published three poetry titles and a volume of short stories in the decade of 2010, Tatiana Faia is one of the names that compose the multifaceted setting of the contemporary Portuguese literature. This text offers a critical approach to Um quarto em Atenas (2018), a poetry book in which the author shares with her readers the learning of an attentive way to see things. Supported by different formulations about the variations of view in the works of Josep Esquirol and Georges Didi-Huberman, we strive to articulate the considerations suggested by Faia’s poems and the reading and reception processes of a new book.
