Janelas verdes (1960-1970), by Murilo Mendes, written based on his experience of traveling through Portugal, presents, in various ways, the dialogue with Portuguese culture. The reading will continue showing that the communication between Murilo and the Portuguese is incorporated in Janelas verdes through quotation and biography, in which the biographical information and imagination are amalgamated in the figuration of the other, in order to constitute the hybrid and archival character of the text, since it is placed as a place of memory and a way of communication between the past and the present.
