The presence of subordinates and aggregates in the literature has been of extreme importance for us to measure how much traces and customs of the ancient European colonizers persist in Brazilian society. In this sense, we approach the short stories O Crime do Tapuio, by José Veríssimo and Negrinha, by Monteiro Lobato, in order to demonstrate how such narratives reveal the forms of oppression and mistreatment of girls aggregated from Brazilian families, a fact reiterated in the poem “Cunhantã”, by Manuel Bandeira. Several authors such as HOLANDA (2014), SCHWARZ (2014) and PRIORE (2014) agree with the assertiveness about the social and exploitative character of our people.
