Abstract

These are reflections on two important almanacs: the Almanach royal, produced in France from 1683, and the Almanak Laemmert, published in Rio de Janeiro from 1844. First, we sought to comment on the origin of this “gender”, which only recently aroused the interest of researchers. Subsequently, this study this study was committed to drawing a profile of both publications, concluding for its essentially fragmentary character, a format that foreshadowed a dissolution of the totality precisely because it wanted to seek it at all costs, giving an account of everything that happens, for example, in a country.
