Como "cada momento do mundo é mais rico e complexo do que o anterior": Agostinho da Silva e Henri Bergson

This article intends to establish a relationship between Agostinho da Silva's thought and Henri Bergson's philosophy, bearing in mind that the French author's books were among the most read by Leonardo Coimbra and his disciples' generation. Agostinho da Silva was not quite a disciple of Leonardo's philosophy, and thus it is certain that his ideas have not been as pervious to Bergson's arguments as other authors from the Portuguese contemporary philosophy. However, having studied in Paris at the beginning of the 1930s, Agostinho certainly had the opportunity of direct contact with ali repercussions of this French philosopher's work. Even though he defends an essentially physical model regarding the interpretation of reality - opposite to Bergson's biological orientation -, it is possible to find some similarities between the two, namely concerning the development of some of the main concepts which guide their works.
